Poverty Alleviation and Sustainable Eco-Village Project
A Holistic Approach

The project is part of the Millennium Development Goals to reduce extreme poverty and
ensure environmental sustainability in to country programmes in Africa by the year 2015.
This model sustainable development project will integrate the best of traditional wisdom
and practices with modern environmentally friendly technologies to achieve:

Economic Development
Social Development
Environmental Protection

Through this pilot community driven approach, the project will be tested and demonstrated.
The successful implementation and results of this model project will be considered for
replication in other villages in Africa. The community will be trained in all aspects of
sustainable development, specifically but not limited to:

ENERGY
WATER AND SANITATION
HOUSING
BASIC HEALTH
WASTE MANAGEMNT
AGRICULTURE
TRANSPORTATION
MICRO-ENTERPRISES
INFORMATION/ EDUCATION/ SKILLS
